Union Pacific Big Boy Dates

We finally have dates for our bi-annual “Big Boy” photographs special following on from a very successful trip in 2024.

The Big Boy will now depart Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 29, 2026 and head for California.  Rumours are  that the Big Boy will run Cheyenne to Los Angeles then continue northbound from Southern California to Northern California.

• Depart Cheyenne, Wyoming March 29, 2026
• Head west to California.
• Arrive Roseville, California April 8, 2026
• Depart Roseville, California April 13, 2026
• Arrive Ogden, Utah April 17, 2026
• Depart Ogden, Utah April 19, 2026
• Arrive Cheyenne, Wyoming April 24, 2026

Catalonia

Our scheduled trip around Catalonia in Spain had to be postponed last month (January) due to sudden problems with several railway lines in the Barcelona area with bad weather creating landslides.

We now have new dates confirmed from 16-22 October. Same itinerary as originally planned with some very interesting lines and rare curves etc.
